Byl to zvláštní rok, byla to zvláštní divadelní sezóna …
Fotografická série “Za oponou” zachycuje zákulisí baletního souboru Divadla F. X. Šaldy v Liberci v průběhu příprav na premiéru milostného dramatu Ference Molnára Liliom v červnu 2021. Na Premiéru, která musela být z důvodu koronavirové pandemie přesunuta o celý rok. V dokumentárním zachycení opravdovosti práce baletního souboru na nastudování dramatu o čisté lásce právě v době, kdy se celý svět potýká s krizí, která nám všem nastavuje zrcadlo společnosti, ve které žijeme, vidím hlubokou symboliku. Lásku všichni potřebujeme, stejně tak jako opravdovost. Přála bych si žít ve světě, kde čistá láska existuje všude a pro všechny a kde se nikdo nebojí hloubky a opravdovosti. Děkuji za to, že jsem mohla být při tom, s jakým nasazením, hloubkou, opravdovostí, optimismem a — láskou — se baletní soubor Divadla F. X. Šaldy nastudování Liliomu věnoval. Bylo mi radostí a ctí vše zachytit tak, jak jsem atmosféru na jevišti i mimo něj vnímala a cítila.

It was a strange year, it was a strange theater season …
The photographic series “Behind the Curtain” captures the backstage of the ballet ensemble of the F. X. Šalda Theater in Liberec during the preparations for the premiere of Ferenc Molnár’s love drama Liliom in June 2021. For the premiere, which had to be postponed for a whole year due to a coronavirus pandemic. I see deep symbolism in the documentary capture of the authenticity of the ballet ensemble’s work in staging the drama about pure love at the times when the whole world is facing a crisis which sets all of us a mirror of the society in which we live in. We all need love, as well as truthfulness. I would like to live in a world where pure love exists everywhere and for everyone and where no one is afraid of depth and truth. Thank you for that Icould be there to record with which dedication, depth, authenticity, optimism and — love — the ballet ensemble of the F. X. Šalda Theater devoted itself to the study of Liliom. It was a joy and an honor to capture everything the way as I perceived and felt the atmosphere on and off the stage.
